Alex Day (nerimon on YouTube) has a little secret. He's been reading the book Twilight by author Stephenie Meyer. But he has been reading it to his audience on YouTube and pointing out the inconsistencies and poor writing style of the book/movie franchise beloved of the tween girls the world over.
I haven't read the series or even bothered to go see the Twilight movies because both the movies as well as the books have been slammed so heavily by critics - by critics I mean those other than 13 year-old-girls with a blood lust for Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) or the abs of Taylor Lautner.
Usually I frown when seeing someone defacing a book, but with the lack of literary merit displayed in this short video, I am willing to put aside my distaste I would usually reserve for Alex (or anyone else) tearing pages out of a book. Tear them all out! And to show an example of one of the deep thinkers who swear by these books, there was a story awhile back where on girl insisted that the movie Werewolf of London (released in 1935!) was "a complete remaking of the Wolf Pack" from Twilight lol. Actually I prefer the 1941 Lon Chaney classic "The Wolf Man". You can read her comments in this article where she insists that: Twilight Invented Werewolves.
Luckily (or unluckily if you prefer) Alex also posted a previous video where he begins reading from Meyers' book.
