The Crow: The First Hunt
I don't know if you've seen The Crow or not but this is a dark little gem that needs to be on your list of movies to watch. Or watch again. Starring the late Brandon Lee (yes, son of legendary martial artist Bruce Lee) as the main character, or anti-hero, Eric Draven, who died during the making of the movie after being shot by an improperly loaded prop gun. The film was released after Lee's death, becoming both a commercial as well as a critical success and was based on the comic book series by James O'Barr, which was published in 1989 to much critical acclaim.And the music! The soundtrack was amazing and worked perfectly with the story in my opinion. The movie is about the revenge Draven seeks after being resurrected by a supernatural crow a year after his own death (on Halloween no less) trying to save his fiancée Shelly (played by Sofia Shinas) during her fatal attack in their shared apartment at the hands of a gang of criminals.
