In case you haven't heard, Puff Daddy, Sean Combs or just call him Diddy, was just found guilty of 2 felony counts of the five he had been charged with. He was found guilty of "transportation to engage in prostitution" but was found not guilty on the more serious sex trafficking and racketeering charges. He's still in lockup in NY pending sentencing. Reaction to the news of the verdict pinged it's online way to the ears (and eyes) of these three Twitch streamers who all have something to say about the Diddy verdict. They all have sizeable Twitch audiences (and their names are linked to their Twitch home page). First will be Hasanabi (2.9M subs on Twitch), then Charlie aka moistcr1tikal (5.7M subs on Twitch) aka penguinz0 (17M subs on YouTube). Once again, the pitchforks are out, youtubers are out in force, and boy are they angry, and they're calling for MrBeast 's scalp or at the very least an explanation WTF he thinks he doing. Why, you may ask, because isn't Jimmy the beloved smiling face of YouTube from a content creator standpoint? Here's a quick video from OG Youtuber Phil DeFranco where he covers the main points. Now this is the type of video I like, where the person uploading the video has something say. This first video was posted back in August 2023 but it still has relevance today. Its from The Act Man , a youtuber quickly closing in on two million subscribers, who has 415 videos on his channel and will be celebrating his 10 year anniversary on YT in two days time, uploading his numero uno video back on June 15, 2015 (congrats!). His bread and butter is usually gaming content but he's not adverse to calling out bad actors online and this was what he was doing on this video. He did balance things out by acknowledging some better reaction content (old H3H3 , and the new, at the time, JJJacksfilms ) but he had to give the stink eye to some other youtubers with "less than stellar" reaction content. And with that penguinz0 channel he's no slouch either, amassing between 16-17 million subs. I don't know if you're familar with the videos of JJJacksfilms but I've been following him for a long time. Not "stalkerishly" following him, because that's behavior that's frowned upon. (Note: if you know what I'm talking about, you know). But I've watched his stuff on his main channel ever since he used to upload videos to bitchslap YouTube commentators for poor grammar or spelling and later I enjoyed his lengthy series (over 500 videos!) called " YIAY " (as in Y esterday I A sked Y ou...) where he would post a video showing viewers' commented responses to whatever question he asked at the end of the previous day's YIAY video. I'm not sure if you are familiar with Nanalew , a Canadian Youtube partner with over 140,000 subscribers but she just had her Youtube account and other online accounts hacked. She had just posted the video below which had been entered into a contest to see if she could win a trip to New Zealand when someone hacked into her Youtube account and removed all of her Youtube videos. I follow her on Twitter (she's @Nanalew ) and she tweeted about the attack shortly after asking her followers to vote for her on the website holding the contest. The website is coldestcanadian.ca if you want to vote for her - she's currently in 4th spot with about 1300-1400 votes. One good point is that she contacted Youtube and got her Youtube account restored that same night, but the hacker also got her Gmail account and her Adsense account, which really sucks. She is in the process of trying to get her Adsense and other accounts returned to her and it will be interesting to see how long that...
