Okay, so she isn't REALLY singing, it's just lip synching. It is still awesome. Very Disney-esque with the bright costumes and backgrounds. In case you haven't seen her before, her name is Nanalew (aka Shawna) and she is shamelessly under-subscribed with only 134,000 subscribers - making her the 25th most subscribed alltime in Canada. What? You didn't know she was from Canada? Like I said she should have at least 3x as many subs as she currently has. Shawna is so creative (not just on YouTube but elsewhere on the InterWebs: check her out at Nanalew on Facebook ). She also does a great Hermione Granger in several of her Growing Up Granger videos that if you are a Harry Potter fan you have to watch. Yes, I'm a guy and I used to watch Buffy The Vampire Slayer. I sound like I should be saying that at some "Buffy Anonymous" group session. I've never been fanatical about the show, mostly watching re-runs as the series itself was winding down, but I am up on Buffy terminology and have seen probably every episode at least once. So I can feel the pain when Meekakitty expresses some distain and skepticism about the announcement of a new movie based on the Buffy series. Very surprised that the people in charge of this "re-boot" of the slayer concept are forgoing Whedon, who was instrumental in creating the series that starred Sarah Michelle Gellar (and the original Buffy movie with Kristy Swanson). That was the reason I was drawn in to the series - Whedon's imaginative and clever writing as well as the character development. It is still well over a month until Jolly Saint Nick is scheduled to make his rounds, but Meekakitty have already morphed into hyper-"I LOVE Christmas" mode already. Looks like meekakitty went on a field trip out to the country a few days ago and went horseback riding. I don't know what the fascination is with hopping on the back of a horse. I haven't had the chance to go horseback riding in a long time but it is one of the things you really need to do once in a while, especially if you live in the big city like Tessa. Love the shots of the horses as well. After watching the video you may be wondering "Who was that holding the camera?" and after hearing a few comments from the cameraman, it is obviously Ray William Johnson of the Equals Three show. Tessa and Ray have been friends for some time and she (along with TheWillofDC who used to be Ray's roommate) appeared frequently in Ray's daily vlog BreakingNYC last year. Why doesn't Nanalew have more subscribers? Yes, she has 125,176 at last count (that's good enough for 22nd in Canada) but she should have more I say! This is her latest which is her doing her Supernote and she has some friends make guest appearances. The Supernote contest ends tonight at midnight (October 31st) so get on it people! Nanalew's was made for Meekakitty 's Team Stashe. Were you as surprised as I was to see Mitchell Davis & Kyle Sibert aka livelavalive and well as the beardman himself, Wheezy Waiter . Here's another addition to the Supernote Challenge. This time from elmify . If you are confused about what this "Supernote" business is all about, basically you film yourself holding a note for as long as you can and submit it to one of several "Team Captains." Elmify is on Meekakitty's Team Stashe . And congrats to elmify for posting her 40th YouTube video. I remember back in the old days before all the fame and wealth when she was so much more down to earth and... Okay, she's still as goofy as ever and unchanged and I don't think she will become a diva, even if she (or her alter ego) launches "Elmify After Dark". One of the most popular people on Youtube is Ray William Johnson who is currently the 2nd most subscribed person on the website with over 2 million subs. He averages about 30,000 new subscribers every week! Ray's main channel (Equals 3 or =3) could eventually take over the Most Subscribed spot on YouTube from Ryan Higa (known as Nigahiga and he is closing in on his 3 millionth sub). I spotted a tweet by Meekakitty that all her subs should check out elmify who is relatively still new to Youtube. So, being the mindless drone of the redhead from New York, I thought I would check Elmify out. I watched the video above. Immediately subscribed. I thought she was quite funny and I'm sure you'll like her slightly warped sense of humour as well. Elmify has 4,221 subs and will attract more. She has been on Youtube since September 2009 and has uploaded 28 videos. I just spend the better part of this afternoon watching ALL of them. She seems to be a bit of a natural in front of the camera and can jump easily between several versions of herself at different ages (she's 5, 11, 15, herself in the present, and herself as her own personal fantasy). The redheaded wonder Meekakitty shows you her perspective of the recent VidCon with a new travelling technique called SpinJumping, where you jump & Spin (duh), and where you land, that's where you are. Pretty simple concept, but apparently hard to accomplish. John Green , one half of the vlogbrothers has put together his selection of what he thinks were some of the top moments of VidCon. I have to admit that Meekakitty 's rendition of a velociraptor was pretty good. Ya don't wanna mess with that redhead lol. I also liked hearing about Dan Brown aka pogobat 's announcement that his subscribers will have complete control over his channel for a year. I haven't written about Dan's cool idea that he calls Dan Brown 3.0, but I will shortly. Dan is usually really good and makes some thought provoking videos on Youtube which is pretty good for someone so young. I actually consider Dan Brown to be the missing Green brother because he seems to talk and think along the same lines as both John & Hank. I was stalking, er, going through some of RayWilliamJohnson 's old vlogs and found this interesting video where he, meekakitty , and TheWillofDC were sitting around a diner discussing VidCon, which is going on right now in L.A. This video was uploaded back in December 2009 on Ray's vlog channel called BreakingNYC . Johnson has uploaded about 105 or so daily vlog videos. If you are a fan of Ray's "Equals 3" show which is on 2 times a week you like this vlog too. He has almost half a million subs(!), which is pretty damn good. Unfortunately, on his most recent vlog called Babies! there is a big green box saying that because of everything else he's involved with, he's not going to be uploading any more videos to the BreakingNYC channel, but he's not going to abandon it. He will eventually start putting more videos up, but at a later date.

Yes, it is meekakitty and she is NOT PLEASED! She has returned from seeing the movie Eclipse and is ranting (justifiably so) about the idjets who were talking all through the show. I swear, these people must go from theater to theater just looking for me (and Meekakitty too apparently) and purposefully sit behind or just in front of me. Usually I give them "the half-turn" with eyebrows raised when they start yapping. And don't give me the excuse that they should be able to talk back to the screen.
