Once again, the pitchforks are out, youtubers are out in force, and boy are they angry, and they're calling for MrBeast 's scalp or at the very least an explanation WTF he thinks he doing. Why, you may ask, because isn't Jimmy the beloved smiling face of YouTube from a content creator standpoint? Here's a quick video from OG Youtuber Phil DeFranco where he covers the main points. Well just like the sudden reputational downgrade Elon Musk experienced recently, Jimmy Donaldson, owner and the main driving force behind YouTube's Most Subscribed Channel (with more than 408 million subs) and it feels like MrBeast poked many youtubers in their collective eyes. Maker Studios announced some changes at the top with Danny Zappin (aka Danny Diamond) leaving his CEO job and being replaced by Ynon Kreiz, who lends a more experienced hand to the rapidly growing company. Zappin has been at the helm of Maker since it morphed out of the partnership of Youtubers who joined up for The Station and became one of the largest of the Youtube networks that emerged lately. Kreiz joined Maker Studios as chairman in early 2012, leaving Endemol while the company was restructuring its debtload. Endemol has since been purchased by Apollo Global Management (a private equity company) and a Dutch company named Cyrte. Kreiz takes over the same job titles of Chairman and CEO at Maker Studios that he had at Endemol. Phil DeFranco's pimpin' Kanye penis shots? Ah, that would be no. Apparently Kanye West has a little pervy side. He's laying down a vibe with a sweet young thing on MySpace and then BAM! First off, there's the "eeww" factor of a celeb flashing his tallywacker at young fans (no word whether she was under age, but still uber-creepy) but the thing is, West had done this more once. I don't care what you say, Phil DeFranco aka Phil DeFranco is one funny dude. He talks about the awesomeness that is Inez Sainz's hindquarters and then changes gears and talks about the latest U.S. arms deal to Saudi Arabia and generates laughs all the way through. Also, the problem of "Old People Bangin'" kicks off the latest PDS and it's almost a public service announcement to tell the oldsters to wrap that thing up! Another youtuber forced to respond to that article that came out a few days ago. Looks like Greg, aka mediocrefilms , is a little hot under the collar about it as well as PhillyD. I agree 100 percent with Greg & Phil on this topic. It's really none of our business what they earn by posting videos on YouTube and elsewhere, just as it's not your business what your neighbor makes as an accountant or as a factory worker. The only reason this is even up for discussion is that it seems that some people on YouTube are making a boatload of money and they are somewhat in the public eye (ie: they have YouTube fame). Philip DeFranco has decided to throw the spotlight on three youtubers who haven't garnered quite the support they should in a new Saturday segment of his show. Glad to see it. I like it when larger youtubers (not weight joke Phil) give their support to some of the up and coming youtubers (not a sex joke lacigreen). I am already subbed to joenationtv and wheezywaiter but I haven't heard of lacigreen so I'll check her out too. Shane Dawson has included Joe in some of his videos and so I checked out his channel at that time and had to watch all his videos. Somehow this one got missed or I would have featured it here. If you are a fan of Craig aka Wheezywaiter, then no introduction is needed, but if not, you need to sub to him. Wheezy is one of my personal favorite youtubers and I subbed to him way back when he had only 3,000 subs. Today he's got 163,000 and cranks out good stuff almost all week. Once you get a taste for Wheezy's humor, you just keep coming...

No he doesn't, ya pervs. Phil DeFranco is just hanging out with another highly rated youtuber, the lovely Brittani Louise Taylor at the start of today's Vloggity. It's aways interesting how all the people making videos for YouTube seem to know one another and appear in each other's vlogs. All I can say is run, Brittani, run! I kid because I can (I have a blog so I can say just about anything I want, nayner nayner). If you are subbed to Phil (and if not why not) then you know he is trying to become a svelt, lean, mean vloggin' machine and trying to drop quite a bit of weight. He calls this: "Operation Lose An Olsen Twin" and so far he has lost 8 pounds, which is pretty good. Phil is a large dude (over 6 feet tall) and was weighing in at 245 pounds. Here is the first video by LinzLoves . She explains what her plans are for the channel and is asking for suggestions and ideas. She already has 15,701 subscribers! Linz is the girlfriend of Phil DeFranco, one of the top Youtubers (his main channel is sxephil which has well over a million subscribers). Phil put a link to Linz' new channel and a bunch of his subs quickly spotted it and subbed - myself included. Although a lot of her subs are curtesy of Phil, mostly out of curiousity, Linz has been on Youtube before and has been seen in the background of several of DeFranco's videos, and many youtubers have wondered who the heck is the hottie Phil's so smitten with. I've seen several videos where Phil and Linz go to a social event filmed by other famous youtubers like Shay Carl or ijustine and you see glimpses of the elusive Linz but never really get a chance to get her on camera TALKING. lololol at these video responses from the New Old Spice Man to various celebs. Phil DeFranco had tweeted that "The New Old Spice ad is cracking me up" and got the response back in video form from the half-nekked dude. Honestly very funny and effective form of advertising to incorporate responses like this. Not only did PhillyD get one, but the luscious Alyssa Milano, Justine Bateman and others were also given some Old Spice love from the company. Here's Alyssa's video: . He also replied to Perez Hilton, Kevin Rose (internet guru, if you don't know him), Olympic skater Apolo Ohno and actress Justine Bateman. I must admit to something of a hetero man-crush on the guy for doing this. Sheer genius.

Some more VidCon stuff with CTFxC roaming around the hotel with Phil DeFranco and his girlfriend Linz. They somehow get into one of the penthouses at the Hyatt Regency and do exactly what you would do - check out the fridge (beer!) and Alli decides to jump into the luxurious bed. Lots of cool youtubers all through this video, besides Charles Trippy and Alli , there's sxephil , and a cameo by Joe Felice , Michael Buckley (aka WHATTHEBUCK) among others.

Phil DeFranco is in his hotel room at Vidcon and apparently a little nervous about talking in front of a big group of youtubers later today. He mentions the panel he was a member of the day before that Charles Trippy and Alli Speed attended (see my post: CFTxC At Vidcon: Now Don't You Wish You Went? ) and he says it went well. Can't wait to see what the other participants upload about their experiences at the conference. Man, I wish I could have gone!

Charles Trippy and Alli Speed are up really early to catch their plane to Los Angeles to attend Vidcon. I am now officially kicking myself for not going but since I haven't uploaded any videos of my own I'd feel a little out of place. Still it's cool to see all the various youtubers, like Shay Carl, Dave Days, sxephil, Olga Kay, Superduperflygirl among others. Too many peeps to name individually. That part where Alli broke the wine glass at dinner is on Twitter, Trippy had a pick where they pushed something into Olga Kay's face. Have to admit Alli looks very pretty in this video with the hat. I liked the mass confusion and excitement with EVERYONE having cameras and vlogging everywhere. Love Alli "OMG, it's PhillyD!" at the Q&A panel lol. I think that was Michael Buckley (WHATTHEBUCKSHOW) on the right, but I couldn't tell who the others on the panel are. So looking forward to seeing what others are going to post in the next few days.

Okay, I wanna start making Youtube videos after watching this video from Phil DeFranco aka sxephil . Poor Phil is in a bad way health-wise (no he's not dying to morbid cretin!) and it sounds like he has a bit of a cold. After hanging with his buddy last night, shaycarl , and a period of some navel-gazing, Phil has come to the realization that the times - they are a-changin' and he looked back on some of his older videos. If you haven't already gone back and started watching DeFranco's old vids do it. There's some funny shite there. I started watching his old stuff months and months ago and one outlet for my own angst and boredom has been to start doing this blog called appropraitely enough: Bradshaw's Blog . My own lame attempt to have some fun with Youtube. Next step in my evolution is to film my radio-friendly mug and start posting some damn videos of my own. "Who Knew You Needed A Psychology Degree To Run The Fryer!" Love that line Phil lol....
