Is Kallmekris Really All That Cringey?

You know when you're scrolling through TikTok, or YouTube (or YouTube Shorts lately) looking for that kick in you humor regions and you find some rando who tickles your funnies? Illicits some chuckles? Or helps push the darkness away, way down into the deepest recesses of your psyche? (I know, you're thinking "tick, tick, tick" and that this guy's gonna snap.) But anywayyy, I am prone to prowling the interwebs looking for fun, entertaining stuff to watch and one of the characters I've been able to find on the regular has been Kallmekris who has turned up a lot in my feed over the years.

I think the first video of hers I stumbled over was that one with the tiny hands (I'll find it and drop it in this blog post later) but a lot of her shorter form content caught my attention. It was like, who da heck is this? Offbeat humor that reminded me sorta of early Grace Helbig with just unexpectedly good content.

But Kris just posted a mini career retrospective of some of her early stuff that she's looking back on as maybe a tad cringe (hey, hindsight's a thing, ain't it?) and she just taking the time to mark the passage of time from when she started posting around six years now. But enough of my blathering. You're probably here to watch Kallmekris make a funny, so here's her latest called "My Old Content Is So Cringe..."

See? Not that cringey...right? Okay, she was a little rough around the edges back in the day but still cute as a bug's arse as my Grandma used to say. Grandma was off her medication alot so, let's move it along.

Note: in the video she mentioned her 2nd YouTube channel so if you wanna take a peek over there, its Kallmekris2. Also, YES to Kris Ross 2 (Sounds like a John Wick sequel). I've done some painting myself (not lately) and it was because I had been watching Bob Ross and it inspired me to produce my own lameass landscapes.

I did find that one video I mentioned where she find used the tiny hands gag for the first time and it became a staple in later vids mostly for her "lil sis Riley", and used them to put on makeup and some cooking, but I loved when went out later through a drive thru and paid while still having the tiny hands, so watch that one now.

At the end of the first video (about how cringy she thought this was) she mentioned she was unsure whether we'd like it or not but be reassured we do, or I do. Can't speak for others but I'm looking forward to more video from Kris.

And yes, you should bring back your older characters like Walter and the others, or heck, create some new ones. But don't feel limited to that type of content. I've noticed she's branched out into longer form, more serious stuff. It's all good.
