Debunking Joe Rogan With Raven The Archaeologist
Once again it looks like podcaster Joe Rogan was duped by fake archeology.
Joe, who has had many interesting conversations with a wide variety of people on his popular JRE Podcast (and you can watch many of them on his YouTube channel on that link) but sometimes he throws out a bit of a clinker, facts-wise, like this one clip he had with NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers about fake Egyptian hieroglyphs but gets fact-checked by Dig It With Raven, an actual expert on Egyptian archeology who swoops in to refute most of the points raised by Rodgers with facts rather than unproven assumptions.
Raven points out that they're talking about hieroglyphs from a temple of Seti I at Abydos, Egypt and that these symbols that look like modern machines (helicopter) were caused by erosion of plaster placed over the original hieroglyphs when Seti I's son Ramesses II renovated his Dad's temple. Now they look astonishingly like modern helicopters, submarines and even (gasp!) a UFO! But, nope.
Discussing the Pyramids and the Zahi Hawass Podcast
Here's the video clip that Raven was discussing about the conversation between Joe and Aaron Rodgers if you want to see it for yourself.
Here's a link to the full 3-plus hour JRE 2325 Aaron Rodgers Podcast if you want to watch more, where they discuss a whole slew of stuff beyond this crazy Egypt stuff like the P Diddy trial, Elon Musk, frog embryos, vaccines, the JFK assassination, and the list of conspiracy theories goes on and on.
I saw one top-rated comment saying something along the lines of "I want Alex Jones, but Aaron Rodgers is a good consolation prize."
Rodgers was in the news recently for signing (at age 41!) with the Pittsburgh Steelers for one year at $13.6 million but Rogan doesn't even bring up professional football. I guess that would interfere with rehashing good conspiracy theories and Rodgers brought a lot of topics to the table.
