Nerimon: Dopamine And Sons Of Admirals Song Available On iTunes

Just checking in on YouTube and the latest video from Nerimon aka Alex Day pops into my inbox. First off he talks about dopamine and how if you are genetically predisposed to producing larger amount of the stuff you are predisposed to happiness. It is like "adrenaline-lite" as it is a precursor to adrenaline. And is used to help those with Parkinson's Disease which is possibly related to having low levels of dopamine in the brain. So ends today's science lesson. Alex moves on to discuss his "Dreamline" which seems more like a goal list that he updates every three months or so. What's All This "Sons Of Admirals" Business? Towards the end of the video Alex mentions as one of his goals that he wants to try to get the song "Here Comes My Baby" (Check out the video below) to number one in the charts. Sons of Admirals are Alex Day, Charlie McDonnell, Eddplant and Tom Milsom, each of whom are on Youtube (Charlie McDonnell actually i...

Congrats To iJustine: Hitting 900,000 Subscribers And iPad Giveaway

She was one of the first youtubers I personally subscribed to when I joined YouTube and she's still one of my favorites. She's the one and only iJustine and she has hit another milestone, getting her 900,000th YouTube subscriber on her main channel. What should she do when she hits the one million mark? To celebrate, IJ is giving away a free ipad to one of her Facebook friends, and all you have to do to win the ipad is go to her Facebook.com/ijustine page and click like and she will randomly draw the name of one of the 305,000 people who like IJ. My name is on that list some where, but I never win at these things so I won't hold my breath. iJustine In Fast Company Magazine She also mentions that she and another youtuber that I am subscribed to, Mysteryguitarman , are featured in Fast Company magazine in an article called The New Faces of Social Media which you might want to pick up. iJustine Juggles? Since When? It looks like IJ has secret talents she hasn...

Brittani Louise Taylor & Friends At Big Bear (And There's A Haunted Pool Table!)

Big Bear California is a cool area west of Los Angeles (accessable by passing through San Bernardino) that is a very nice getaway and Brittani Louise Taylor , along with some fellow youtubers, spent the weekend and here's the video of their trip. Loved the joke they played on Joe Nation pretending that the cabin was haunted. Beware of the Legendary Haunted Pool Table if you go to Big Bear! If you do decide to chance running into a ghostly pool player, you can check out this site about the cabins at Big Bear , but you might want to ask for a cabin without a pool table - unless you want to play the same joke on one of your friends lol. The others at the cabin with Brittani and Joe were Brigitte Dale and Joey Anderton . This trip was a bit more successful than the damp backyard campout Brittani and Brigette had last week. See my post about: Brittani Louise Taylor's Ecomagination Backyard Camping Adventure . And check out Joey Anderton's video of the Haunted Cabin j...

Shaytards: Shay Goes To L.A. And Some Ecomagination Footage

So, once again, Shay Carl is off to La-La land to make some videos with theStation. He first has to say goodbye to the Shaytards clan he's leaving back home in Idaho. I think that the part with Rocktard smiling at the beginning was some of his best scenes. He's smirkin' and smiling like crazy. Then it's on the plane to California ( Don't forget your camera this time Shay! ) And he almost forgets his camera on the plane again lol. Lucky for him he remembered it before he left the airport. Hopefully he doesn't forget his toothbrush again (he does that too). You sure can tell that Shay loves his wife and kids because he's only away a few hours and he's already missing them. Loved the part where he asked the parking lot guy "Where do I find a hot brunette who's married and has 4 kids?" IDAHO of course. Before he left, Shay filmed a new challenge video for his personal channel, shaycarl for their Ecomagination challenge. Here's where...

LasVegasBarbie Also Has A Sexy Brain

One of the Youtubers I have been subscribed to for a while is LasVegasBarbie (also known as Morgan Lynn). I think I first spotted her in a video during VidCon and again in another by Charles Trippy and Alli Speed ( The Chubby Bunny Challenge: Enter At Own Risk ) and thought I would check out her videos and subbed to her channel. Why am I subbed to her? Well, yes, she is easy on the eyes (smoking hot actually, and very pretty), but that's not the only reason I recommend her. Many will click on her videos just from a thumbnail of her sitting in front of her camera, but I've found she is also clever and funny which means more to me as a viewer. Don't get me wrong, she does have the WOW Factor and attracts many horny male subscribers and the expected juvenile comments, but all the attractive female youtubers get that. What she has been doing recently has been to upload videos like the following, where she provides relationship advice in a humorous way. Many of the guy...

John Green's Singamajigs: A New Career In Music?

Image
Doesn't it always seem that even with people who are successful in one area, such as acting, or professional sports, they always seem to harbour a secret desire to be a rock star? It seems like John Green of the vlogbrothers is no exception. John is of course, a published author and you can find his books over at Amazon. Here's a link to his author page: John Green books . But it also seems that John is a teensy bit jealous of his brother Hank's success as a musician and wants to join Hank's band. Take a look: Now, although I think John is highly talented (and who wouldn't want a Singamajig player in their band), I dunno if I could see Bono and the U2 boys with a Singamajig solo. I'm not saying John doesn't have massive skills, and would probably be a welcome addition to Hank's band, but I'll have to see any finished product before passing judgement. John mentioned Hank's latest song (see my post: Hank Green's Strange Charm: A Song Ab...

Youtuber Marcus Butler's 14,000 Foot Sky Dive

No freaking way I will ever do that lol! Marcus Butler just stepped out of a nice safe airplane and plummeted 14,000 feet to the ground. Here's the video. You see the preparations at the beginning as the group are shown what to do during the dive. Later we see Marcus on the plane, not looking quite as confident, furtively peeking out the window. When that door opened and you could see the ground from so high up, I was thinking no, no, no thanks! But give him credit because Marcus had a big grin on his face as he jumped. The camera shots were pretty good as a second parachutist took video from below Marcus as they dropped at what? 1,000 miles an hour? That was too cool lol. I did notice that one of the tags on the video was "die" lol, but he probably could have put "whathaveIgottenmyselfinto?" as a tag. Where did he do the jump? It was in (actually over ) Bryon Bay, Australia. If you want to subscribe to Marcus' Youtube channel, there's a link ...
