Stop using CapCut. Right now! CapCut is one of those "free video editors" that caught on with online folks because: 1- it was free 2 - it was easy to use It was one of those new "thingys" that was popping up everywhere for the last couple of years and you were being told "You GOTTA use this!" to make ALL your videos! It has layering, and all the other bells and whistles sure to entice novice video makers and newbie editors to download CapCut. But then. Some of the "free options" that made this free app so appealing suddenly migrated over to the "paid option". It's still good, it's still good, we all told ourselves. Then we found out that CapCut was from the good people at BiteDance who are the Chinese company behind TikTok and the United States has been giving that company a big old case of the stink eye for allegedly giving users' data to the Chinese government.
