In case you don't know, a little gathering of online folks has been taking place in L.A. known as "Vidcon" and here Shay Carl and the Shaytards are vlogging about the shindig. Shay and the family are going to be on stage (hopefully Shay won't throw Rocktard out into the audience like last year) and if you watch the video you will likely see all sorts of the top Youtubers. First there's KassemG, Michael Buckley from his "What The Buck Show", iJustine, Tobuscus, MysteryGuitarMan, CTFxC (Charles Trippy and Alli Speed) and many others passing by the camera. Now don't you wish you had bought a ticket? It unfortunately sold out in early May. If you're thinking ahead to Vidcon 2012 it is still a long way away and the location and other stuff has not been worked out, but you better plan on buying your ticket as soon as they become available.

Youtube is taking over mainstream TV now as Michael Buckley (aka WHATTHEBUCKSHOW ) shows up to do an interview with Ali Velshi on CNN and Buck of course stole the show: The only thing I didn't like was that Velshi's premise for the show was just "Youtube success" and "how much money you can make" etc. Everyone has heard about Buck's success as far as Youtube is concerned although mom & pop watching in the midwest probably didn't know what to make of Buck lol. He is certainly one of the big success stories on Youtube and now has 1,021,051 subscribers and he is making some decent coin from his various shows. And, just in case you haven't seen Buck's style, here he is doing his recap of the 2011 Oscars: He also has a personal vlogging channel that is pretty good too. This is where Michael Buckley (on his What The Buck Show ) gets a chance to shine. If you want to know what happened at the latest award show, you tune in to Buck. Buck slams both Enrique Iglesias as well as Miley Cyrus (no surprise there) and said Miley looked like she had been dressed by Stevie Nicks (you younger folks will have to Google Nicks to find her weird gypsie outfits she was famous for in the 70s-80s). He did like Pink's performance, who I didn't know was pregnant, but it was the part where he mentioned the semi-ovation for Bieber with only the first three rows standing "because Usher had a GUN!" As far as the re-emergence of the Back Street Boys-New Kids, snore. Those guys need to be forgotten as a bad memory from the 1990s. Didn't care for them then, and no need to re-visit sucky boy-band stuff again.

Michael Buckley lets us know what he thinks about Lindsay Lohan's 90 day prison sentence. I have to admit I was rofl at the shot he took about Lohan "designing" knee pads into her leggings (because a girl needs to be comfortable on her knees lol). This was a short video from WHATTHEBUCKSHOW because this is a breaking story, and Buck is heading off to L.A. for Vidcon which starts July 9th.

Here's another Youtuber vlogging about YouTube and what's catching people's attention. His name is John Nicholas and his channel is JohnNicholasYT . John currently has about 212 (including me. I just subbed) and has been on Youtube since December 2009. Nicholas usually posts a new vid about once a week pointing viewers to what is bubbling up in the youtube community. The clip above is about 2 weeks old, and he mentions The Trevor Project with an explanation of what that is all about. He also mentions the birth of Rocktard, newest castmember of the SHAYTARDS . He needs to name each video differently. Each one (so far) seem to all be named "What's Happening On YouTube" and he should try to get an distinct name for his reports. Michael Buckley does the Eclipse cast! Yes, that DOES sound pretty nasty doesn't it? WHATTHEBUCKSHOW does his unique take on the latest from the Twilight franchise: the new Eclipse movie. What does Buck think? Well... He does have a few *SPOILER ALERT* moments and and I have to admit I laughed a bit when he mentioned Edward (Robert Pattison) asking "Doesn't he own a shirt?" about Jacob. Gotta admit, gay or not, I don't think I ever heard a grown man SO wrapped up in the Twilight saga. Personally I haven't seen any of the these movies (or read the books). Hopefully now we can get back to what's really important in new movies: Harry Potter And The Deadly Hallows.

WHATTHEBUCKSHOW 's Michael Buckley just uploaded his video about his Lasik eye surgery and as expected he came through with flying colors. Buck was a bit uncharacteristically quiet during the procedure, but he was heavily medicated lol. Yeesh, at the part where they actually peeled back the outer layer of the skin, but according to Michael it was entirely painless and the whole procedure was completed very quickly. So that's his testimonial to the benefits of Lasik. And he says he went back the next day and he now has 20/20 vision. He will keep wearing his signature glasses for his show, but won't need them for real life. Congrats Buck! I tweeted him to tell him I liked the video and as he always seems to do, he replied. One of the good things about Buckley is that he does take the time to connect to folks tweeting him. If you aren't following him on Twitter, his account is buckhollywood , so you can tell him when you like his videos.

If I were to give an award for The Funniest Tweet Of The Day , it would have to go to Michael Buckley for the following: Trying to pick a thumbnail for my Lasik video tomorrow! I wish my eye looked more like a boob. If you are following Buck on one or both of his channels, his WHATTHEBUCKSHOW where is does his show, or the one he uses for his more personal communcations with his subs called peron75 , you probably know that he just had Lasik surgery on his eyes and plans to upload the video of it tomorrow. Should be interesting viewing, but hopefully it won't be too graphic. Make sure you check it out when he posts it. Apparently Buck will continue to use the same style of glasses that we are all familiar with only with false lenses. Can't really expect him to change from his iconic glasses now can ya? Your asking ME how to become a famous Youtuber? Um, have you seen how many people are actually subscribed to me? Not many. But then again I'm not trying to become the next Mr YouTube. Of course I do want to get more subs myself, but hopefully that will come in time. Take a look at the above clip provided by YouTube on what they feel is the best way to get spotted by the massive YouTube community. Honestly, if you look at some of the individual highest ranking videos such as Evolution of Dance - By Judson Laipply (over 145 million views! ) or that recent one about the cat playing piano, there's really no telling what will go viral on YouTube. Most of the top Youtubers haven't just sprung from nowhere. They continuously put out videos on a regular basis and their audiences have found them. Michael Buckley, your genial host on his WHATTHEBUCKSHOW fills us in on Miley Cyrus and her latest tattoo. Apparently her pop Billy Ray had no say as Miley inked her ear (eww) with the word love. Don't really care about people getting tattooed, but you should never get it done in the region of you face in my opinion. That just says "trashy". My own Dad always said never ever get a tattoo (he had one lol) or he'd kick my butt, so I never even considered it. This was of course before tats became super-popular. Still, tattoos are rarely nice looking. Personally, I would never put something on my body permanently that I wouldn't put on my wall. Many tattoos just don't look very nice - especially over time. Megan Fox's Marilyn Monroe tat may look okay now, but down the line it'll start looking like Phyllis Diller or (eek) Joan Rivers. As far as Miley's love tattoo in her ear, yuck.
