It looks like quite the tournout for the Youtube Gathering in Melbourne on January 22, 2011 as seen in the following video by AngryAussie . A while back Kimmi Smiles posted a video saying that there would be a gathering and that popular youtuber Dave Days would be flying in from the U.S. Kimmi and Dave have done several collab videos and it looks like Melbourne certainly welcomed him to the city. Lots of people showed up and I think I recognized Louna Maroun (hard to miss with the flaming red hair) among others. Frezned was also on hand, but it looks like Dave was a big draw for many.

I always try to give a shout out when I hear about a Youtube gathering (even those I can't attend) and there's going to be one in Melbourne, Australia on January 22nd, 2011 from 12pm to 3pm. kimmitalks (aka KimmiSmiles) just posted this video and I thought I should alert my readers in Australia (yes I do have readers, plural lol, in Australia) - actually the Aussies make up a sizable chunk of my viewership. I get read by Americans, Canadians, UK, and then the Aussies who are a little under-represented on this blog which I plan to remedy. But I'm off topic. Watch this video by Kimmi: It looks like DaveDays will be showing up and he and Kimmi have collaborated for several videos. According to the info Kimmi provided on her video, the gathering will be on the 22nd at "Federation Square, meet in front of the Giant Screen/Stage". This is just a short video clip. olive you - Broadcast your self LIVE Dave of course is referring to Kimmi Smiles who sang on the video with him (see this post: DaveDays ~ Olive You With Kimmi Smiles ) but with Sammah taking Kimmi's part here. If you want to check out some more clips of Dave on BlogTV, you can go to Dave's BlogTV channel to watch some of his other clips, but if you go there and also subscribe to his channel, you can get updates of when he has posted stuff and get notification of when he is "on the air" which is fairly frequently. And if you want to pick up the song on iTunes, (um, the original version with Kimmi, not the one with Sammah, although if enough people demand a copy of this one, I'm sure Dave will put it on iTunes or his own website) go to Olive You to download it from iTunes.

It seems that DaveDays is coming out with new songs just about every other week! Actually his most recent video was released about 2 weeks ago, see my post about What Does It Take . And yes, that was Kimmi (last seen in Dave's Olive You video) and Sammah of "Do It Float?" fame hidin' out in the shower. Actually, Dave credits Sammah and Cyr for doing the filming. This looks like it may be part of the Ecomagination Challenge and you have to like Dave's style: "yeah, we gotta turn the lights off baby. Don't you wanna save the environment?" And you can pick up the newest DaveDays song (and his others too) over at davedays/itunes (actually Dave's giving this one away for FREE and that link takes you to his website).

Have to admit that I think kimmitalks (or Kimmi Smiles) is just the cutest. She seems genuinely happy to be making YouTube videos. Take a quick look at the following: It does sound like she is going to be busy for the next little while and will have to space out her future videos because of school and that's okay. Nothing wrong with concentrating on doing well in school. When she does post the video about surviving the upcoming zombie apocalypse, I'll be sure to include it here too. I had thought that I was already subbed to her YouTube channel but found out I wasn't (fixed that just now) but I was following her on Twitter (she's at KimmiSmiles on Twitter). I started following her there after I posted about her & davedays on BlogTV in July, but somehow I didn't sub to her channel - but like I said - fixed now. Just in case you haven't checked out the latest song from DaveDays here it is. It's called Olive You (that's a link to it on iTunes) and features lovely ms Kimmi Smiles (aka KimmiTalks). One question: Has Dave forsaken a certain Mylie Cyrus for the pretty Australian singer? Probably not - Dave seems to have that smitten look whenever he's thinking about Mylie. I liked the parts where you see Kimmi getting a piggy-back ride from Dave and then later you see him getting one too. Had to laugh at that. So far this video has already received over a million views on Youtube, so a big congrats on that for Dave & Kimmi. Here's hoping the song does very well. I don't usually go on BlogTV.com very much, but I did really early this morning after DaveDays tweeted that he was going to be on the website and would be playing a new song. He had a pretty girl beside him (no surprise there) but I didn't recognize her. She said her name was Kimmi and that she was from Australia. ( BlogTv went the way most early 2010s vlogging platforms did, bought and merged with YouNow in 2013 and but then YouNow's audience evaporated, disappearing to sites like Twitch by around 2017 .) I did a quick check on Youtube and found her pretty quickly. She is kimmismiles and she had been on YouTube for just over a year and has 27 videos to date. (She stopped posting on YT around 2015, was on Instgram until Covid hit then stopped posting). Unfortunately the broadcast probably won't be showing up in Dave's archives for his account at blogtv.com/people/davedays because of the song he and Kimmi listened to, but you might want to sub to his BlogTV ch...
