Meekakitty The Buffy-Hater Slayer
Yes, I'm a guy and I used to watch Buffy The Vampire Slayer. I sound like I should be saying that at some "Buffy Anonymous" group session. I've never been fanatical about the show, mostly watching re-runs as the series itself was winding down, but I am up on Buffy terminology and have seen probably every episode at least once. So I can feel the pain when Meekakitty expresses some distain and skepticism about the announcement of a new movie based on the Buffy series. Very surprised that the people in charge of this "re-boot" of the slayer concept are forgoing Whedon, who was instrumental in creating the series that starred Sarah Michelle Gellar (and the original Buffy movie with Kristy Swanson). That was the reason I was drawn in to the series - Whedon's imaginative and clever writing as well as the character development.
