Pacifica Band From Argentina Caught My Ear

There's always that one YR Shorts video that catches your attention while you are scrolling and that you end up watching over and over again.

For me its indy music, or just the music people create that feels fresh to the ear. Sounds kinda "vibe-ish" but I guess I enjoy being surprised by how much I like something. And this little band from Argentina sounds like it has something to say.

The band is called Pacifica and it's two main group members are Ines and Martina. Ines plays lead guitar and Martina does the bass notes.

That's Martina playing an bouncy intro run on the bass before launching into the lyrics (while giving meaningtul eye contact) "Premature rejection I'm just trouble in your head. It's just infatuation or your favorite mistake."

She continues with the camara flipping between Ines playing accents on her guitar and the drummer who was doing the heavy lifting with the bass to create the bouncy push for the song. I've heard Ines on other song clips they uploaded to YouTube. They have a gazillion Shorts and longer form videos and have grown a sizable audience with 251K subscribers.

Here's a good one. It shows the girls in a practice room with "Marto" (as she's called in this one), bass, "Inu" (again, as she's called in this one), guitar, with "Rodri" also playing guitar and "Andy" on drums. But who's Rodri? Don't really see him in other videos, or maybe I missed something. Still, a LIVELY introduction they could use when they perform live.

They have the sound you want to hear in a new band. They can play their instruments well enough and they sounded tight, like everyone was on the same page.

Pacifica has a lot of music on display. They may not ever rival Taylor Swift music numbers but they grabbed my attention.

This last video is Marto and Uni talking about how they decided to form Pacifica. I liked finding it was a common love for Strokes music that brought them together as bandmates. Also, crazy how they got a record deal and then an album (released 2024).

When Will Ray William Johnson Pass Nigahiga As Most Subscribed On Youtube?

I don't think there is any personal animosity between Ray and Ryan and don't want to promote any ill feelings between the two. I've never asked one of them about the other (I don't know either personally) and I haven't seen any comment, good, bad or indifferent, made by either one about the other guy's numbers either. Both of their channels have their good and bad points, as well as fans who love everything they do. No doubt there are hundreds of thousands subscribed to both guys because they put out interesting content. All I'm saying is that there's nothing wrong with a little friendly competition. I don't think they will get into a pissing contest or anything (we used to have those at our family reunions. Grandma would always win, but that's a story for another time).
